A lot of people set their goals, but yet a lot of people fail to achieve their goals. Why is this so? To find out the answer, you will first have to know what actually makes your goals come true. It is the action that you take each and everyday that will bring your goals come true. And in order for you to take massive amount of action, you will need to keep yourself motivated all the time.
If you are not motivated in taking action, you will procrastinate and never take any real action to make your goals come true. So now you know that if you want to achieve your goals, you will have to take action. And for you to take action, you will need to keep yourself driven always. The next question now is, how can you stay motivated all the time? You first have to understand what actually drives you toward your goals. Most people thought that it is their goals that will drive and motivate them. The fact is, the goals you set will not drive or motivate you, it is the reason behind your goals that will drive you.
Therefore, you have to find out why you want to achieve your goals before you can get yourself motivated. No matter what goals you set, there must be a reason why you want to achieve it. If the reason is strong enough, then you will drive yourself into taking action. If the reason is very strong and you must achieve your goal, you will do whatever it takes to achieve it.
Let me give you an example here. If you are someone who smoke and you set your goal as to stop smoking, the reason is because you knew that smoking is dangerous and it is destructive to your health. Do you think that you will achieve this goal? Maybe yes maybe no. However, if one day you went for medical check up and the doctor tells you that if you keep on smoking, you will die in 3 months, and do you think that you will achieve this goal of yours? Definitely, why? This is because the reason for you to achieve your goal has become so strong that you will do whatever it takes to achieve it.
Hence, if you want to achieve your goals, the first step you need to do is to find out why you want to achieve those goals. If the reasons are not strong enough, try to develop stronger reasons that can keep you motivated and keep you going all the time. Remember, it is the reason behind your goals that will motivate and drive you.
